| We think we offer the finest value quality skiing and dining available whether in private chalet in Austria or a small family hotel in France | |
| Baggage is moved for you by local vehicle. Walking notes are provided, sometimes with copy maps. Walking days are often slightly longer than one group walks, averaging 4-7 hours. Most itineraries are available with extra nights en route, for relaxation or further exploration. | |
| Accommodation is usually in 2* hotels, bed & breakfasts or similar. We do not always include wine estate visits, as we have less control over your speed of walking (and the time you choose to leave each morning!), but if they are not included we can arrange suitable cellar visits for you if given sufficient notice. | |
| A special selection of programmes suitable fora short break in a wine region, to visit and taste at local estates, and enjoy some of the other attractions each area has to offer. All are self-drive (private or hire car), though chauffeur transport can be provided at extra cost. | |
| Accommodation is generally 3-4* hotels, private houses or similar, with upgrades available. Cuisine reflects the standard of accommodation. Most are suggested itineraries, and can be modified to your own specific requirements. | |
| Winetrails is established as Britain's leader in exclusive group and independent wine holidays touring the world's most exciting 'vinescapes'. We have an extensive programme including group and independent walking and cycling tours, wine group tours to such long haul destinations as Chile and S Australia, and independent 'Tailor Made' tours to many of the world's best wine regions. | |
| We believe strongly in the concept of travelling slowly, to experience a region to the full. All of our programmes aim for an excellence of cuisine, fine wines and a family or house party atmosphere not generally found in large impersonal venues. | |
| Our major programme is a selection of guided group holidays. Most are walking itineraries, and generally have a maximum group size of 12 people, plus Winetrails staff. In addition several tours employ local experts, drivers, guides, etc. | |
| Baggage is moved from hotel to hotel for you, and picnic, cafe or restaurant lunches are usually provided. Walking days are generally gentle, averaging 4-6 hours. Accommodation is in a variety of houses, from 1-4* hotels, bed & breakfast, wine estates etc | |
